For instance, some indigenous NE Russian peoples stick to the exclusive menu of walrus and seal-- they live very long, and NEVER get heart disease due to the meat's OMega3 content. However, those whose tastebuds have "gone Soviet" are immediately much less healthy.<br /><br />And, it turns out, if you manage to survive the bacteria and taste at first, a fermented walrus diet lowers cholesterol no matter how much crap you've eaten in the past.
